Product variants
Majkl3D-Filaments Glow PLA is a photoluminescent PLA filament with a 1.75 mm diameter on a 1 kg spool that glows in the dark after being exposed to light. The material accumulates light energy and then gradually releases it in the dark as a visible glow.
Key features
Glow PLA combines the easy printability of classic PLA with added phosphorescent pigments. The filament is strong, non-brittle, and features consistent quality without variations between individual spools. After exposure to daylight or artificial light, the print glows after dark - the intensity and duration of the glow depend on the exposure time, wall thickness, and number of layers. The spool is fully compatible with Bambu Lab AMS (63 mm width) and the filament has been tested on Bambu Lab printers with the standard PLA Basic profile, so there is no need to create custom print profiles.
It is important to note that phosphorescent particles are slightly abrasive - for intensive printing we recommend using a hardened or steel nozzle.

Who is Majkl3D - Filaments Glow PLA 1.75mm 1kg suitable for
Glow PLA is an ideal choice for decorative prints, gaming figurines, models, ornamental items, Halloween decorations, keychains, orientation elements in the dark, design accessories, and creative projects where the glowing effect adds an interesting visual element. Thanks to standard PLA print parameters, it can be handled by both beginners and experienced users. For maximum glow effect, we recommend printing thicker walls (at least 3-4 perimeters) and 100 % infill in decorative areas.
Printing tips
- Before printing, expose the print to light sufficiently - the longer and more intensely, the longer and brighter the subsequent glow will be.
- For a stronger glow, choose greater wall thickness and higher infill.
- Use a hardened or steel nozzle - the pigments may gradually wear out a brass nozzle.
- Store the filament in a dry environment (e.g. in a dryer or vacuum box with silica gel).
- If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it at 45 °C for 6-8 hours.
- The standard PLA Basic profile in Bambu Studio works without adjustments.
- At slower print speeds (40-80 mm/s), the surface tends to be smoother and more uniform.
