Product variants
Bambu Lab PLA-CF is a highly filled filament containing carbon fibres, combining the easy printability of classic PLA with significantly improved mechanical properties. The ReFill version is a spoolless refill - designed for reuse with the original Bambu Reusable Spool.
Key features
Bambu Lab PLA-CF delivers higher stiffness and strength than standard PLA thanks to the added carbon fibres. The material achieves stiffness of around 3950 MPa, making it a suitable choice for functional and mechanically stressed parts. The carbon fibres also effectively mask layer lines - prints have a matte, finely textured surface resembling fabric, matte plastics or ceramics. The filament exhibits low shrinkage and excellent resistance to warping, allowing it to maintain dimensional stability even on larger parts. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm. The RFID chip enables automatic parameter recognition within the Bambu Lab AMS ecosystem.

Who is Bambu Lab PLA-CF 1kg ReFill suitable for
This filament is intended for users who need mechanically more durable parts than standard PLA, while still wanting to keep easy printability and minimal risk of clogging. It is used for printing brackets, mounts, structural parts, small functional components, drones, RC models, jigs and workshop tools. Thanks to its matte surface, it is also popular for design and presentation models where layer lines are undesirable. The ReFill variant is intended for owners of the original Bambu Lab reusable spool - it is a more eco-friendly and cheaper option.
Printing tips
- Always dry the filament before printing - moisture significantly worsens surface quality and mechanical properties.
- Use a hardened steel nozzle (min. 0.4 mm) - carbon fibres quickly wear out standard brass nozzles.
- 0.2 mm nozzles are not suitable for PLA-CF - risk of clogging.
- Printing is not recommended on Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI, Textured PEI and 3D Effect Plate build plates.
- When handling, cutting and sanding the filament, use protective gloves - fine carbon fibres may irritate the skin.
- Orient the model so that the load acts along the XY axis, not perpendicular to the layers.
- Mount the ReFill onto the original Bambu Reusable Spool according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- After printing, store the filament in a dry environment, ideally in a vacuum box with a moisture absorber.
If Bambu Lab Refill filaments are unavailable, we reserve the right to replace it with the spooled version; the price remains unchanged.
