Bambu Lab PLA-CF is a PLA filament reinforced with carbon fibers (carbon fiber) that combines the easy printability of classic PLA with significantly higher stiffness and strength. The ReFill version is designed for reuse with the original Bambu Reusable Spool - saving material and costs.

Key features

The addition of carbon fibers increases the material's stiffness up to 3950 MPa, placing PLA-CF among materials suitable for functional and mechanically stressed parts. At the same time, it maintains low shrinkage, excellent dimensional stability, and resistance to warping. The surface of prints is matte and finely textured - carbon fibers naturally mask layer lines and imitate the appearance of fabric, matte finish, or clay. The filament is supplied in ReFill form (without spool), with a diameter of 1.75 mm and a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm. The package includes an RFID chip for automatic parameter loading in the AMS system.

PLA-CF is an ideal choice for users who need functional parts with higher stiffness and an aesthetic matte surface. It is used for printing holders, structural elements, RC parts, drone frames, electronics enclosures, jigs, fixtures, and assembly components. Thanks to its low shrinkage and dimensional accuracy, it is also suitable for mating and assembly parts where reliable tolerance is required. The ReFill format is intended for owners of the Bambu Reusable Spool - simply replace the refill and continue printing.

Printing tips

• Dry the material before printing - moisture significantly degrades surface quality.
• Use a hardened steel nozzle - carbon fibers are abrasive and will wear out regular brass.
• Do not use a 0.2 mm nozzle - the fibers will clog it.
• Orient the model so that the load acts along the XY axis, not between layers.
• Suitable build plates: Textured PEI, Smooth PEI, or 3D Effect Plate. Cool Plate SuperTack is not suitable.
• When handling the filament and sanding prints, we recommend wearing gloves - loose microfibers may irritate the skin.
• The ReFill must be used together with the original Bambu Reusable Spool.
• Store in a dry environment and re-dry after longer breaks.
