Strong and impact-resistant
Filament Spectrum Smart ABS is a material characterized by high impact resistance with relatively high stiffness. The "smart" version is distinguished by improved technological parameters, which significantly reduce the difficulties in additive manufacturing using standard ABS material. This mainly involves reducing shrinkage and limiting the secretion of irritating volatile compounds during processing. An undeniable advantage of this material is the retention of properties at temperatures reaching up to -40°C.
Compared to standard ABS, smart ABS is characterized by:
- reduced shrinkage coefficient,
- glossy print surface,
- lower printing temperature,
- higher fluctuation coefficient.
Key properties:
- high impact resistance and stiffness while maintaining high dimensional tolerance
- gloss on the outer surface after printing
- HDT - 85°C
- VICAT - 93°C
- high mechanical resistance
- reduced shrinkage coefficient during processing (0.5-0.7%)
- ease of processing by grinding, drilling, cutting.
- very good layer adhesion, especially when using a 3D printer with a heated chamber
