Prusament PETG 1.75 is a premium technical filament from Prusa Research that combines high strength, toughness, and easy printability. Thanks to strict quality control, it offers a diameter tolerance of ±0.02 mm and consistent properties along the entire length of the spool.
Key features
PETG (polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is one of the most widely used technical filaments. The glycol modification reduces brittleness compared to classic PET and ensures excellent layer adhesion. The material is resistant to water, UV radiation, and slightly elevated temperatures, making it suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications.
Compared to PLA, it offers higher thermal resistance, and compared to ABS, it is easier to print without an enclosed chamber. Prusament is wound onto a hollow cardboard-free spool and every reel comes with its own quality certificate available online by serial number.

Thanks to its resistance to moisture and UV radiation, it is suitable for parts placed outdoors, for kitchen or garden applications, and for models that come into contact with water. The filament will be appreciated by both beginners and experienced users who need a reliable technical material with consistent results.
Usage tips
- Before printing, we recommend drying the filament - PETG is slightly hygroscopic.
- For clean surfaces, set retraction to 1-2 mm (Direct Drive) or 4-6 mm (Bowden) and slightly reduce the speed.
- Clean the bed with isopropyl alcohol - PETG has strong adhesion; on a glass bed, apply a thin layer of separator.
- Set the cooling fan to lower values to ensure better layer adhesion.
- Use a hardened nozzle for long-term printing - PETG can be slightly abrasive.
- Store in a dry place with desiccant, ideally in a vacuum bag or dry box.
