Product variants
Spectrum PLA Premium TOOLING filament is a premium PLA filament designed for creating workshop organizers, tool holders, stands and workshop accessories. It excels in high aesthetic surface quality, very low shrinkage and reliable printing results on standard FDM/FFF printers.
Key features
Spectrum PLA Premium is a polylactide-based filament that belongs to aliphatic polymers and exhibits full biodegradability. Carefully selected color concentrates ensure intense and stable color rendering, high aesthetic surface quality and very good details of printed models. The material features very low shrinkage, making it suitable even for large-format printers without an enclosed chamber. Reliable adhesion to the print bed, high stiffness and good mechanical properties (hardness and tensile resistance) place it among very user-friendly materials. The heat deflection temperature is approximately 55 °C.

Who is Spectrum PLA Premium TOOLING filament for
The material is primarily designed for printing workshop and household tools - tool holders, organizers, stands, caps and workshop accessories. Thanks to its high aesthetic surface quality and faithful color rendering, it is also suitable for industrial and interior design, conceptual and demonstration prototyping, the production of semi-finished products, figurines, gadgets and corporate promotional items. Spectrum PLA Premium is also suitable for educational projects and as a teaching material for users who are just getting acquainted with FDM/FFF technology. Thanks to its low shrinkage, the material can also be used for lost-wax casting methods in the production of metal parts.
Tips for use
- Before printing, check the cleanliness of the nozzle and the first layer calibration - PLA adheres well even to an unheated bed.
- For a smoother surface and fine details, use a layer height of 0.1-0.15 mm.
- When printing larger areas, turn on part cooling to 100 % for better details and sharp edges.
- After opening, store the filament in a dry environment (vacuum bag, drybox); if it becomes moist, we recommend drying at 45 °C for 4-6 hours.
- An enclosed chamber is not required for large-format prints - PLA Premium has very low shrinkage.
- The material is not intended for applications with temperatures above 55 °C (HDT) - for thermally stressed parts, choose PETG, ASA or ABS.
- The filament is vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber - after removal, work quickly and return the unused spool to the sealed packaging.
