Spectrum Premium PLA 1.75 mm is a premium polylactide-based printing filament designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers. It delivers reliable printing, high aesthetic surface quality and minimal shrinkage, which makes it suitable even for large models and open printers without a heated chamber.

Key features

PLA is one of the easiest filaments to print, and Spectrum Premium PLA raises this standard thanks to carefully selected concentrates and stable extrusion. The filament shows excellent adhesion to the print bed, high rigidity of finished parts and very good mechanical properties (high hardness and tensile strength). A key advantage is very low shrinkage during cooling, so parts do not warp or crack. The material is made from biodegradable raw materials (corn starch) and is suitable for both enclosed and open printers without a heated chamber. The heat deflection temperature is around 55 °C.

Who is Spectrum Premium PLA 1.75mm 1kg filament suitable for

Spectrum Premium PLA is a versatile material suitable for beginners and advanced users alike. It is used for teaching 3D printing, creating concepts and demo prototypes, in industrial design, for making models, figurines, toys, decorations and interior accessories. Thanks to its high surface quality and ability to capture fine details, it is also suitable for printing high-resolution models. The material can also be used for lost-wax casting methods when producing metal parts. If you need a more durable variant for functional parts, consider also PETG or ASA.

Tips for use

  • Start with a nozzle temperature of 210 °C for the first print and adjust according to speed and printer.
  • Use 100% part cooling for sharp details and clean overhangs.
  • Store the filament in a dry place (preferably in a drybox with silica gel), PLA slowly absorbs moisture.
  • For better first-layer adhesion, clean the bed with IPA or use a glue stick.
  • Do not print too fast without sufficient cooling - this may degrade the quality of overhangs.
  • Do not expose finished prints to temperatures above 55 °C or direct sunlight in enclosed spaces (e.g. in a car).
  • If moistened, dry the filament at 45 °C for 6-8 hours to restore its printing properties.
