Bambu Lab TPU for AMS is a next-generation flexible filament specially developed for seamless printing in the AMS and AMS lite systems. It combines the elasticity and durability of classic TPU with the speed and ease of printing typical of PLA materials.

Key features

The Bambu Lab TPU for AMS filament has a Shore hardness of 68D, ensuring excellent toughness while maintaining flexibility and impact resistance. Thanks to its special formulation, it significantly reduces stringing, which is common with traditional TPU materials. This type of filament is optimized for printing in the AMS system, enabling multi-color printing with flexible materials - something that was previously difficult to achieve with TPU.

Compared to standard TPU 95A HF, it offers up to 60% faster printing, a maximum volumetric flow of 18 mm³/s, and a printing speed of up to 238 mm/s. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.05 mm. The 1 kg spool is supplied as a Refill (without spool) and is designed for use with the Bambu Lab high-temperature reusable spool.

This flexible filament is intended for users of Bambu Lab printers equipped with the AMS or AMS lite system who want to print flexible and durable parts - or combine multiple colors in a single print. It is ideal for producing protective cases, phone covers, door stops, sports equipment, automotive parts, seals, belts, wheels, damping elements, or functional prototypes that must withstand impact, bending, and mechanical stress. Thanks to its advanced formulation, it is also suitable for printing detailed models where standard TPU would suffer from stringing.

Printing tips

• Always dry the filament before printing - recommended 70 °C for 8 hours in a dryer, or 80-90 °C for 12 hours on a heated bed.
• During printing, keep the filament in a dry environment (closed box with desiccant, humidity below 20 % RH).
• Use a smooth or textured PEI plate - Cool Plate SuperTack is not recommended.
• The flexibility of the print is affected by the number of wall perimeters and infill density - more walls and higher infill = stiffer part.
• The Refill package is designed to be mounted on the Bambu Lab reusable high-temperature spool.
• The RFID chip in the spool automatically loads print parameters via the AMS system - no manual setup required.
• For better bed adhesion, use Bambu Liquid Glue.
• Not compatible with 0.2 mm diameter nozzles.
