Bambu Lab PLA Tough+ stands out with significantly higher impact toughness (80.6 kJ/m²) compared to standard PLA (26.6 kJ/m²) and offers up to 2x stronger interlayer adhesion. The material withstands repeated bending without cracking, is resistant to impacts and drops, while maintaining the ease of printing typical for PLA. The filament contains an RFID chip for automatic recognition in the Bambu Lab AMS system. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm and the spool weight is 1 kg.

This filament is intended for users who need durable and functional prints that must withstand repeated mechanical stress. It is suitable for printing RC models, airplane models, springs, clips, connectors, holders, tools, and parts prone to drops or impacts. Thanks to its higher toughness, it is also suitable where standard PLA fails, while maintaining easy printability and compatibility with the AMS system.
Tips for use
- Due to the higher printing temperature, PLA Tough+ has a slightly stronger (but not pungent) odor than common PLA - we recommend adequate ventilation.
- For easier support removal, use the dedicated Bambu Support for PLA or Bambu Support for PLA/PETG.
- Recommended print plates: Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI Plate, Textured PEI Plate.
- The filament is fully compatible with AMS, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, and AMS lite.
- Store in a dry place before printing - moisture impairs mechanical properties and surface quality.
- For maximum interlayer strength, choose a slightly higher nozzle temperature within the recommended range.
- When printing thin-walled parts, take advantage of the material's ability to bend repeatedly without cracking.
