Product variants
Bambu Lab PETG-CF is a technical filament reinforced with carbon fibers that combines the toughness of classic PETG with significantly higher rigidity, strength and dimensional stability. It is designed for functional and load-bearing parts that require mechanical durability, thermal stability and resistance to moisture.
Key features
Adding carbon fibers to the PETG matrix increases the rigidity and dimensional stability of prints. The material exhibits higher strength and toughness than standard PETG, making it suitable for structural and load-bearing components. The formulation also significantly reduces blobs and stringing during printing.
The surface of finished parts has a characteristic carbon fiber texture with a glossier appearance than PLA-CF, which effectively hides layer lines. The filament is resistant to heat and moisture, so it withstands outdoor environments. The spool is equipped with an RFID chip that allows automatic loading of print parameters in Bambu Lab AMS systems. The spool contains 1 kg on a reusable spool. Who is Bambu Lab filament PETG-CF, with spool, 1 kg suitable for
The material will be appreciated by users looking for an alternative between common PETG and highly technical filaments. It is suitable for functional prototypes, holders, brackets, mechanical components, parts exposed to increased mechanical stress and applications requiring higher rigidity and thermal resistance.
Thanks to its resistance to moisture and UV radiation, it is also suitable for outdoor use - workshop tools, garden accessories, electronics enclosures or automotive components. The aesthetic surface with carbon fiber texture will be appreciated on visible parts.
Tips for use
- Before printing, always thoroughly dry the filament at 65 °C for 8 hours (in a dryer or AMS 2 Pro / AMS HT). When drying on the X1 heated bed, use 75-85 °C for 12 hours.
- Use only a hardened steel nozzle - a common brass nozzle will wear out quickly. A stainless steel nozzle is not recommended. A 0.2 mm nozzle is not compatible.
- A 0.6 mm nozzle is recommended as it reduces the risk of clogging.
- For stronger layer bonding in the Z axis, reduce cooling fan speed and increase infill density.
- Print in an enclosed chamber - an open construction may lead to reduced interlayer adhesion.
- For a glossier and higher quality surface, choose lower print speeds and slightly higher nozzle temperature.
- Suitable build plates: Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI Plate, Textured PEI Plate.
- When handling, cutting and machining, wear protective gloves - composite fibers may cause skin irritation.
- After printing, store in a dry environment, ideally in a vacuum bag with a moisture absorber.
