Bambu Lab PETG-CF is a high-performance filament reinforced with carbon fibres, combining the proven properties of PETG with increased stiffness, strength and toughness. The 1 kg refill pack is designed for reuse with the original Bambu Reusable Spool.

Key features

By adding carbon fibres, this material overcomes the low stiffness of standard PETG and offers significantly improved mechanical properties, higher strength and rigidity while maintaining good toughness. Thanks to increased resistance to heat and moisture, it is also suitable for outdoor use. The new formulation substantially reduces clumping and stringing compared to standard PETG. The printed surface has a characteristic carbon fibre structure with a glossier finish that effectively hides individual layer lines.

The filament has a diameter of 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm and contains an RFID chip, allowing compatible Bambu Lab printers to automatically load print parameters via the AMS system.

The material is intended primarily for printing functional and structural parts that must withstand mechanical loads. It is ideal for producing brackets, mounts, drone components, tools, jigs, fixtures and parts for industrial and outdoor use. Thanks to its higher resistance to moisture and heat, it also performs well in demanding conditions - suitable for garden accessories, automotive prototypes or machine parts. The refill pack is an economical choice for users who prefer reusing the original spool and reducing waste.

Printing tips

• Always dry the material before printing (65 °C / 8 hours) - PETG-CF is hygroscopic and moisture significantly degrades print quality.
• Use only a hardened steel nozzle - carbon fibres are highly abrasive and quickly wear out a standard brass nozzle.
• A 0.2 mm nozzle and stainless steel nozzle are NOT compatible; the recommended size is 0.6 mm to reduce the risk of clogging.
• For better strength along the Z axis, increase infill density and reduce cooling speed - excessive cooling weakens interlayer adhesion.
• Do not use open-frame printers; an enclosed chamber helps maintain a stable temperature.
• For a glossier surface, print at lower speed and with slightly higher nozzle temperature.
• Recommended build plates: Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI Plate, Textured PEI Plate.
• Wear gloves when handling printed parts and filament - carbon fibres can cause skin irritation.
• The refill must be used with the original Bambu Reusable Spool.
• After use, store in a dry environment (vacuum bag with desiccant or dry box).
