Key features
Spectrum SILK PLA is a material for additive manufacturing developed on a PLA base with special concentrates that give prints a satin texture and glossy surface. Thanks to the specific pigment, the mechanical properties of standard PLA are preserved - low shrinkage, relatively high tensile strength, and dimensional stability. The satin surface significantly reduces the visibility of individual print layers on side surfaces, which is ideal for decorative and visually demanding models. The filament is supplied on a transparent spool, vacuum-sealed with a moisture absorber, and labeled with information about the material, diameter, and recommended print temperatures.

Usage tips
- Before printing, check the nozzle for clogs - satin PLA contains pigments that may be slightly abrasive.
- To achieve a pronounced satin effect, choose a lower layer height (0.12-0.16 mm).
- Keep 100% cooling to maintain a sharp and glossy surface.
- After finishing the print, store the filament back in a resealable bag with a moisture absorber.
- If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it at 45 °C for 4-6 hours.
- For the first layer, we recommend slightly reducing the speed for better bed adhesion.
- The filament is compatible with most FDM/FFF printers supporting PLA materials.
