Product variants
Spectrum Premium PLA WOOD 1.75 mm is a PLA-based composite filament enriched with real wood particles. Prints acquire the appearance, texture and characteristic scent of genuine wood and can subsequently be sanded, varnished, stained or waxed.
Key features
The material combines the easy printability of PLA with a natural wood content, giving finished models a surface reminiscent of chipboard. The filament is made from biodegradable raw materials, is 100% organic and emits a distinctive wood scent during printing. Prints feature very smooth side walls and exhibit good thermal insulation properties. The 1.75 mm filament diameter is held within a tight tolerance of ± 0.03 mm; the 1 kg spool is vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber on a transparent reel. Due to the natural wood content, the shade may vary slightly between batches - just as it does in nature.

This wood-filled filament is intended primarily for decorative printing, the production of figurines, statuettes, frames, interior accessories, architectural models, promotional items or educational aids. Thanks to the possibility of post-processing (sanding, varnishing, staining), it is suitable for craftsmen and designers who want to combine the advantages of 3D printing with the aesthetics of natural wood. The material also performs well where higher moisture resistance and good thermal insulation are required.
Tips for use
- Use a nozzle with a diameter of at least 0.4 mm, ideally 0.5-0.6 mm - wood particles may clog smaller nozzles.
- Prefer a hardened or steel nozzle, as wood fillers are slightly abrasive.
- We recommend fine-tuning the nozzle temperature using a so-called tower test - a higher temperature will emphasise a darker shade, a lower one will keep a lighter tone.
- Dry the filament before printing; PLA with wood content easily absorbs moisture.
- After printing, the surface can be sanded with sandpaper and then varnished, stained or waxed.
- Do not store opened filament in the open air - use a dry box with a moisture absorber.
- For maximum aesthetic effect, choose a lower layer height (0.15-0.20 mm).
