Product variants
Spectrum Premium PLA is a premium polylactide-based filament designed for aesthetic, reliable, and fully biodegradable 3D printing. The 2 kg spool package with a 1.75 mm filament diameter offers plenty of material for extensive projects and serial printing without the need for frequent spool changes.
Key features
Spectrum Premium PLA is made from carefully selected raw materials with an optimized pigment concentrate that ensures intense shades and an aesthetically high-quality print surface. The material features minimal shrinkage during cooling, making it suitable for printing large objects on open printers without an enclosed chamber.
It excels with good mechanical properties - high hardness, tensile strength, and rigidity of finished parts. At the same time, it is one of the user-friendly materials for FDM/FFF technology, making it a suitable choice for both beginners and advanced users. The filament offers excellent adhesion to the print bed, good detail resolution, and a high-quality surface. The heat deflection temperature is around 55 °C, and the material is also suitable for lost-wax casting methods in the production of metal parts.

Who is Spectrum Premium PLA 1.75mm 2kg filament for
The filament is designed for a wide range of users - from students and beginners learning to work with FDM/FFF additive manufacturing, through hobby printers, to professionals in industrial and interior design. Thanks to the high aesthetic surface quality, it is particularly used for concept and demo prototypes of finished products and semi-finished goods.
It is also used for printing educational aids, home tools, gadgets, corporate promotional items, toys, figurines, containers, handles, stands, castings, and molds. The large 2 kg package will be appreciated for printing large-sized models, serial production, or longer projects where you need consistent material from a single batch.
Tips for use
- Before starting printing, verify the first layer calibration - it is essential for perfect adhesion with PLA.
- For fine details, choose a lower layer height (0.1-0.15 mm), for faster printing 0.2-0.3 mm.
- Set cooling to 100 % - PLA requires intense airflow for sharp details and overhangs.
- If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it at 45 °C for 4-6 hours in a filament dryer.
- Store in a sealed package with a moisture absorber, ideally away from direct sunlight.
- Due to the lower heat deflection temperature (approx. 55 °C), PLA is not suitable for parts exposed to higher temperatures - for such applications, choose PETG, ASA, or ABS.
- Thanks to low shrinkage, it can handle large models on open printers without an enclosed chamber.
