The material features virtually zero shrinkage, low moisture absorption and excellent interlayer adhesion.
Key features
Spectrum Premium PET-G is one of the most widely used materials for FDM/FFF 3D printing. It offers very good stiffness, hardness and impact toughness, complemented by chemical resistance and high dimensional accuracy. Thanks to very good cohesion between individual layers, printed parts show lower mechanical anisotropy than other thermoplastics - properties therefore differ less depending on the print direction. The material is odourless, and both the granulate and pigments are approved for food contact. Thermal resistance reaches HDT 69 °C, Vicat softening temperature 78 °C.

The 8 kg pack is intended for operations with higher material consumption - print farms, workshops, prototyping and development centres, manufacturers of aids and small series production. The material is suitable for visual and functional prototypes, concept testing, conceptual models, manufacturing fixtures and jigs, mechanical parts such as gears and sliding bearings with static loads, as well as parts intended for humid environments. It is also used in the production of semi-transparent covers, enclosures and backlit parts of boards, signs or lettering.
Usage tips
- Before printing, we recommend drying the filament at 65 °C for 4-6 hours, especially if it has been stored in a non-sealed environment.
- Optimal first-layer adhesion is achieved on a clean glass or PEI bed; when using glue, apply a thin layer to avoid tearing off the bed surface.
- PET-G is more prone to stringing - adjust the retraction and lower the nozzle temperature by 5-10 °C if you observe excessive stringing.
- Lower print speed (30-45 mm/s) improves interlayer adhesion and surface quality.
- Set cooling to 30-50 %; excessive cooling may reduce interlayer strength.
- An enclosed chamber is not required, but eliminating drafts increases print stability for larger parts.
- Store unused filament in a sealed package with a moisture absorber.
