Spectrum Premium PET-G 1.75 mm in an economical 2 kg pack is a technical filament combining the advantages of PLA and ABS - easy printing, high interlayer adhesion, chemical resistance and minimal shrinkage. It is made from pellets and pigments approved for food contact and is suitable for functional parts as well as visual prototypes.

Key features

PET-G Premium is characterized by virtually zero shrinkage and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Printed parts maintain stable mechanical and dimensional properties over the long term. The material offers very good stiffness, hardness and impact resistance, prints without odor and provides excellent interlayer adhesion. Thanks to low mechanical anisotropy, the properties of the print do not change significantly according to print direction, which is essential for functional components.

Who is the Spectrum Premium PET-G 1.75 mm 2 kg filament suitable for

The large 2 kg pack will be appreciated by users who print large volumes or large-scale models without the need to change spools. The material is suitable for visual and functional prototyping, concept testing, manufacturing aids, jigs and fixtures. Thanks to its chemical resistance and dimensional stability, it is also suitable for technical parts such as gears, plain bearings or components exposed to static loads, even in humid environments. PET-G is also a popular choice for semi-transparent covers, backlit elements, the production of signs, lettering and design accessories.

Tips for use

  • Before printing, we recommend drying the filament at 65 °C for 4 - 6 hours, especially after longer storage.
  • For maximum interlayer adhesion, print at lower speeds (40 - 50 mm/s) and with moderate cooling.
  • PET-G tends to produce stringing - reduce nozzle temperature by 5 - 10 °C or optimize retraction.
  • Apply a separator (glue stick, spray) to a glass bed to prevent an overly strong bond and damage to the glass.
  • PEI, garolite or textured sheets work excellently with PET-G without the need for additional adhesives.
  • Store in a dry place, ideally in a sealed container with a moisture absorber.
  • For comparison with other materials, visit the categories PLA, ABS or ASA.
