Spectrum Premium PET-G 1.75 mm is a versatile technical filament that combines the printing ease of PLA with mechanical and thermal resistance closer to ABS. It features virtually zero shrinkage, low moisture absorption and high dimensional stability, making it a reliable choice for functional prototypes as well as end-use parts.

Key features

PET-G Premium by Spectrum offers very good mechanical properties in terms of stiffness, hardness and impact resistance. It excels in chemical resistance, high dimensional accuracy and exceptional interlayer adhesion, which reduces the mechanical anisotropy of prints. The pellets and pigments used in production are approved for food contact. Printing is odourless and the material shows good creep resistance even under constant load.

  • Easy printing with durability close to technical materials
  • Virtually zero shrinkage and high dimensional accuracy
  • Excellent interlayer adhesion - lower print anisotropy
  • Chemical and mechanical resistance to impact and creep
  • Low moisture absorption and longer shelf life
  • Raw materials approved for food contact

Who is Spectrum Premium PET-G 1.75 mm 1 kg filament suitable for

This filament is intended for users who need a combination of easy printing and a durable finished part. It is suitable for visual and functional prototyping, concept models, manufacturing aids, gears and plain bearings exposed to static loads, including in water environments. The material has proven itself in the production of semi-transparent housings, backlit sections, signs, lettering and parts requiring dimensional stability throughout their service life. If you are looking for alternative materials, also check out PLA, ABS or ASA.

Tips for use

  • Dry the material before printing at 65 °C for 4-6 hours, especially after longer storage - moisture degrades surface quality.
  • For good first layer adhesion, use a clean build plate, ideally PEI or glass with a light coat of adhesive.
  • Reduce the first layer speed and slightly raise the nozzle height to prevent material sticking to the nozzle.
  • Do not use full cooling from the first layer - it can lead to delamination and poorer adhesion.
  • To achieve a transparent effect, print with a low number of perimeters and a lower layer height.
  • Between prints, store the spool in a dry environment together with a moisture absorber.
  • When printing thin walls and details, reduce retraction to 4-6 mm to limit stringing.
