Product variants
Spectrum PLA Glitter is a decorative PLA filament enriched with glitter particles that create a distinctive glossy effect on the surface of printed models. It combines the easy printability of classic PLA with an attractive aesthetic appearance, making it suitable for advertising, decorative and hobby projects.
Key features
The filament is based on a high-quality PLA polymer with an admixture of non-meltable glitter particles. These increase the hardness and compressive strength of prints compared to standard PLA, while slightly increasing their brittleness. The level of gloss can be influenced by the wall thickness of the model - thinner walls allow the particles to stand out more. The material retains the user-friendly properties of PLA, does not exhibit significant shrinkage after cooling and does not produce toxic fumes.
- highly glossy surfaces with reduced visibility of print layers
- increased hardness and compressive strength compared to pure PLA
- user-friendly processing comparable to standard PLA
- minimal shrinkage after cooling - excellent dimensional stability
- not abrasive to brass nozzles when using the correct diameter
- filament diameter 1.75 mm, spool 0.5 kg

Who is Spectrum PLA Glitter 1.75mm 0.5kg filament suitable for
This filament is intended for users looking for a material with a distinctive decorative effect. It is used in the production of advertising materials, Christmas and holiday decorations, interior design elements, gift items, cosplay accessories, jewellery and figurines. It also works great in educational projects where geometric shapes and models need to be presented in an attractive way. Thanks to its easy printability and low hardware requirements, it is also suitable for beginner 3D printing users.
Tips for use
- Due to the content of solid glitter particles, use nozzles with a diameter of 0.4 mm and above, ideally hardened or steel ones.
- For a more pronounced glitter effect, reduce the wall thickness of the model - the particles will then shine through more.
- Before the first print, calibrate the flow - the presence of particles may slightly affect extrusion.
- Store the filament in a dry place, ideally in a sealed box with desiccant, to prevent moisture absorption.
- For better bed adhesion, use a PEI sheet, glue stick or hairspray.
- Set active part cooling to 100 % to achieve sharp details and quality overhangs.
- You can find more information in the PLA filaments category.
