Filament Spectrum PETG/PTFE
PETG with tribological properties
The popularization of 3D technology and the increase in specific expectations regarding the functionality of prints bring the need to develop increasingly specialized materials. Based on the analysis of market needs and repeated customer requests, we decided to expand our range with PET-G material with tribological properties.
We have changed the position of the Spectrum PETG/PTFE copolymer for use in sliding components and gears. As a basis for the development of the material, we used PET-G, known for its excellent mechanical properties, supplemented with the addition of 10% PTFE, commonly known as Teflon, with self-lubricating properties. Thanks to the careful selection of components while reducing the coefficient of friction, the filament retains easy printing, interlayer adhesion, impact strength, and thermal properties characteristic of PET-G.
Spectrum PETG/PTFE will find application in printed components exposed to increased wear from friction and operating temperatures up to 70°C. The filament is available in a wide range of colors.
