This is the same surface as found on the PEI sheet for the MK2/S. In this case, however, the print sheet is removable and flexible. On MK52 heated beds, for which it is designed, it is held in place by magnets. This allows easy removal of the sheet while keeping it securely fixed during printing.
If the nozzle or your tools leave small scratches or marks on the print surface, they are usually glossier than the rest of the sheet. They do not affect functionality or adhesion. For a uniform appearance, you can lightly sand the affected area in circular motions using the rough side of a kitchen sponge.
Update:
The color of the print sheet may differ from the image (gold, green, black). The properties of the sheet, including the smooth PEI surface, are the same across all color variants.
Note:
The warranty does not cover consumables, including print sheets (smooth, textured, etc.). The surface naturally wears over time during printing unless damaged due to material fatigue or manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover scratches, dents, or other cosmetic imperfections. Warranty applies only to sheets defective upon receipt.
On the PEI-Ultem film forming the steel print sheets' surface, a small number of tiny dots may appear. They may slightly affect the appearance of the bottom of prints, but due to their minimal nature, they are not considered a reason for a claim.
