The Original Prusa CORE One+ kit version is a fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer with an actively controlled chamber up to 55 °C, a print volume of 250 × 220 × 270 mm and speeds up to 600 mm/s. You build it yourself following a detailed manual (roughly 15 hours of work), getting to know your printer down to the last screw. Developed and manufactured in the EU.

A kit that teaches you everything about 3D printing

Original Prusa CORE One+ kit CoreXY 3D printer

Assembling the Prusa CORE One+ is a technical project in itself - you get a complete package with a detailed online manual in the LEGO Technic style, where each step includes high-speed photos and tips from the factory. In the end, you have exactly the same printer as the assembled version, only at a lower price and with the knowledge of where every cable runs. Preparation takes around 15 hours, and no special tools are needed - a set of wrenches, torx and hex keys are included in the package.

Enclosed CoreXY kinematics for higher speeds

CoreXY kinematics Prusa CORE One+ speed 600 mm/s

The CoreXY architecture keeps both motors firmly anchored to the frame and moves only the lightweight print head via a long belt loop. Travel is therefore faster and more precise than in classic bedslinger geometry, and vibrations are additionally compensated by the Input Shaper directly in the firmware. Printing takes place at speeds up to 600 mm/s without loss of quality, and according to tests by 3D Printing Doctor, the CORE One+ is about 20% faster than the MK4S.

Actively controlled chamber up to 55 °C

Actively controlled enclosed chamber Prusa CORE One+ up to 55 °C

The enclosed steel box maintains a stable temperature up to 55 °C, which is key for materials such as ASA, ABS, PC/PCCF or nylon - without a stable environment they would warp and delaminate. The + version additionally brings automatic control of the top ventilation grille: it opens by itself for low-temperature PLA or PETG, and stays closed for technical materials. Optionally, a HEPA filter can be added directly into the chamber.

Nextruder with Load Cell sensor and 360° cooling

Nextruder Load Cell sensor 360 degree cooling Prusa CORE One+

The Nextruder measures force directly at the nozzle tip using a Load Cell sensor - the nozzle itself becomes the probe for first-layer calibration. The measurement is physical, so there is no risk of errors from optical sensors affected by a glossy sheet or room lighting. Symmetrical 360° print cooling handles steep overhangs without supports, and nozzles from 0.25 to 0.8 mm can be swapped in seconds without tools.

Steel exoskeleton and compact dimensions

Steel exoskeleton Prusa CORE One+ construction

The all-metal exoskeleton is an integral load-bearing part of the printer, not an additional cover - thanks to this it maintains accuracy even at high speeds. No part is glued, everything can be disassembled with an ordinary screwdriver, and Prusa keeps spare parts in stock for many years. Compared to the MK4S in an Enclosure, the CORE One+ takes up 50% less space on the desk, yet offers a 30% larger print volume of 250 × 220 × 270 mm.

What else the CORE One+ brings

Prusa CORE One+ improvements bayonet spool holder

The + version integrates hardware improvements from the CORE One L model and all firmware updates. Key new features include automatic control of the top grille, a redesigned filament entry into the sensor for easier loading of flexible materials such as TPU, and a new bayonet spool holder compatible with various spool sizes and with a drybox.

Supports all common filaments

Prusa CORE One+ filament support PLA PETG ABS ASA PC nylon

The CORE One+ prints from standard 1.75 mm filament of any brand. PrusaSlicer contains over 200 fine-tuned print profiles from PLA and PETG through ABS/ASA to advanced materials such as PC, carbon-filled composites or nylon. For abrasive materials, we recommend using a hardened nozzle, and for detailed models a nozzle with a smaller diameter.

Open-source firmware, no subscription

PrusaSlicer Prusa Connect open-source firmware CORE One+

PrusaSlicer, EasyPrint, Prusa Connect and the Prusa app are all free and ad-free. The printer doesn't have to be connected to the network even once - slicing and firmware updates can be done fully offline, and the Wi-Fi module can be physically disconnected in secure environments. The firmware source code is available on GitHub, and the CAD files on Printables.com.

Ready for INDX upgrades and a high-temperature hotend

Prusa CORE One+ upgrade MMU3 INDX high-temperature hotend 400 degrees

The CORE One+ has a clear path to gradual upgrades. Currently, you can buy the MMU3 for printing up to 5 colors in one model, and soon the INDX toolchanger for 8 materials with minimal waste and a high-temperature hotend up to 400 °C for PEKK-CF, PPS-CF or PPSU will arrive. The existing hotend can be replaced with a new one within three minutes.
