Filament-PM PLA WOODJet 1.75 mm 0.5 kg is a special PLA filament with bamboo additive that faithfully imitates the structure and appearance of natural wood. The new formula no longer contains larger pieces of wood filler that could clog the nozzle, so printing is smooth and the results are detailed.
Key features
WOODJet is a modified PLA+ material enriched with bamboo filler in a concentration of up to 20%. Compared to standard PLA, it offers higher layer adhesion and impact toughness, so printed objects are more flexible and durable under stress. The material is stronger in three-point bending and better tolerates insufficient printer cooling in warm environments. Prints have a wooden character and are suitable for subsequent post-processing treatments such as sanding, staining, or varnishing.

It is suitable for printing decorations, figurines, building models, architectural studies, frames, boxes, religious motifs, toys, and replicas of historical objects. The material is also suitable for printing large models thanks to the low shrinkage typical of PLA. Due to its ease of printing, it is also suitable for beginners looking for an alternative to classic PLA with an unusual appearance. The filament is compatible with most common FDM/FFF 3D printers.
Printing tips
- We recommend printing with a nozzle diameter of 0.6 mm and above - this will prevent possible clogging of the nozzle by abrasive bamboo particles.
- For a more authentic wooden appearance, try combining different print speeds and temperatures - this will achieve natural shading of the growth rings.
- Prints can be sanded with sandpaper, stained with wood stains, or varnished to achieve an authentic effect.
- The material is slightly abrasive - for long-term printing, consider using a hardened steel nozzle or one made of hardened material.
- Store in a dry place, ideally in a sealable box with a moisture absorber; if the filament becomes moist, dry it.
- A closed chamber is not necessary, but the material also better tolerates printing in warmer environments.
- Due to the lower heat resistance of PLA, we do not recommend using prints in environments above 55 °C.
