Filament-PM PLA GlowJet 1.75 mm 0.5 kg is a special phosphorescent PLA filament from the Czech manufacturer Plasty Mladeč, which glows in the dark for several hours after being illuminated by any light source. It combines the easy printing of classic PLA with an interesting visual effect for decorative and functional prints.
Key features
PLA GlowJet is a material based on polylactic acid (PLA) enriched with phosphorescent pigments. It retains all the advantages of standard PLA - low shrinkage, dimensional stability and easy printability even for beginners. The filament is wound on a 100% recycled spool with Plastic Second Life certification and can be returned as part of the Recycle with PM program. The PLA base material is made from 100% renewable resources (corn starch) and is biodegradable. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm with a tolerance of 0.1 mm, and the spool weight is 0.5 kg.

This filament is suitable for beginners as well as advanced printer users who want to enhance their prints with a glow-in-the-dark effect. It can be used for printing decorative items, gaming figures, cosplay accessories, night lights, orientation elements, keychains, pendants, Halloween decorations or safety markings. Since it is a PLA-based material, it can be used on most common FDM/FFF printers without the need for an enclosed chamber. The phosphorescent pigments are abrasive - we recommend using a wear-resistant nozzle (hardened steel, ruby, tungsten carbide).
Printing tips
- For the best glow effect, illuminate the finished print with a strong light source (UV lamp, sunlight, LED).
- Due to the pigment content, use a wear-resistant nozzle - a regular brass one will wear out more quickly.
- We recommend using a nozzle with a diameter of at least 0.4 mm.
- For better bed adhesion, you can use Magigoo glue, 3DLAC spray or a classic glue stick.
- Before printing, degrease the bed with isopropyl alcohol.
- Store the filament in a dry place after opening, ideally in a resealable bag with silica gel.
- If not used for a longer period, we recommend drying the filament at 45 °C for 4 - 6 hours.
- Prints are not suitable for outdoor use - PLA has low UV and temperature resistance.
