The Buddy3D Camera is equipped with high-quality optics and infrared lighting, allowing you to monitor your printer (or printers) even in complete darkness.
TIMELAPSE CREATION
In the app, simply set the capture interval between 5 and 300 seconds, and the camera will save a series of individual photos to an SD card (not included).
To create the final timelapse video, a short edit in an external application is currently required, but soon you will be able to download timelapse videos directly from the app.
24/7 OPERATION
The camera offers 3 modes: Day, Night, and Auto. Day and Night are self-explanatory, while Auto automatically switches between them based on ambient light levels, making it ideal for workplaces with continuous operation.
The camera is designed to withstand temperatures up to 65 °C, so it can be safely placed inside an enclosure.
If your printer is located in another room, you can stream video over your local network directly to the Prusa App.
A future update will expand this functionality to support full online streaming. The camera firmware updates wirelessly, ensuring you always have the latest features.
EASY TO USE
To pair the camera with your printer, open Prusa Connect or the Prusa App, select the printer you want to pair the camera with, and simply show the generated QR code to the camera so it can connect to your Wi-Fi.
The camera attaches to the CORE One frame using magnets. Installation is quick – an online setup guide is available.
FOCUSED ON MAXIMUM SECURITY
Although the camera hardware is manufactured by an external company, the entire process is strictly supervised by our team. This includes the firmware, which our developers have extensively reworked and rigorously tested.
Your safety is our priority, so in addition to the firmware modifications, the camera underwent extensive network testing and monitoring. All communication is strictly limited to interactions between the camera and our secure network infrastructure.
The camera is compatible only with Prusa Connect and the Prusa App.
