Key features

This is a PLA-based material whose surface structure suppresses gloss and masks minor print imperfections. The resulting models have a homogeneous matte appearance without the need for additional surface finishing. The filament is easy to print, suitable even for beginners, and stands out with its low thermal expansion and minimal warping.

The spool contains a built-in RFID chip that enables automatic material identification in the AMS system - the printer loads the correct print profiles on its own. The filament is biodegradable and made from renewable resources. The filament diameter is 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm, ensuring consistent extrusion and stable results throughout the entire spool. This filament will be appreciated by users looking for aesthetic prints without the need for subsequent bead blasting or sanding. It is suitable for architectural models, figurines, decorative items, electronics enclosures, design prototypes, and presentation models. The matte surface hides layers well, so the final product looks professional even on larger geometries.

The material is not primarily intended for functional mechanical parts exposed to high temperatures or continuous UV radiation - for these applications we recommend PETG, ASA, or ABS.

Tips for use

  • Always dry the material before printing - matte PLA is more sensitive to moisture than standard PLA.
  • The spool DOES NOT belong on the Cool Plate SuperTack bed - the manufacturer does not recommend it.
  • The Refill version (standalone refill) requires the use of a Bambu Reusable Spool.
  • For smooth transitions between layers, maintain a constant print speed and avoid excessive cooling in the first layers.
  • You will fully utilize the RFID chip in the AMS system - the printer automatically loads the material profile.
  • Store in a dry environment, ideally in a sealed box with a moisture absorber.
  • For smooth results, use a 0.4 mm nozzle and a 0.2 mm layer height.
