Product variants
Bambu Lab PLA Glow is a special variant of PLA filament enriched with luminescent powder, thanks to which printed models glow in the dark. The material retains all the advantages of classic PLA - easy printing, high surface quality and very good mechanical properties.
Key features
PLA Glow contains a phosphorescent pigment that emits visible glow in the dark after being charged with light (daylight or UV). The filament is ideal for creating light effects, decorations, name tags, jewelry and models where you want to achieve a glow-in-the-dark effect.
The material has a diameter of 1.75 mm with a tolerance of +/- 0.03 mm and is supplied on a 1 kg spool including an RFID chip for automatic recognition in the AMS system. Due to the abrasive particles of the luminescent powder, it is necessary to use a hardened steel nozzle. Standard brass nozzles wear out quickly and stainless steel nozzles are not compatible. The recommended nozzle size is 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm or 0.8 mm - 0.2 mm nozzles are not suitable.

This filament will be appreciated by creators who want to give their models a glow-in-the-dark effect. It is suitable for making glowing name tags, logos, jewelry, gaming figures, Halloween decorations, safety markings or starry sky models. Thanks to compatibility with Bambu Lab printers and the RFID chip for AMS, AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT, printing is maximally automated - parameters are loaded automatically. Note: AMS lite is not recommended, as the coarser structure of the filament may cause feeding problems.
Tips for use
- Dry the material at 55 °C for 8 hours before printing if it has absorbed moisture.
- Always use a hardened steel nozzle - a regular brass one will wear out quickly.
- The glow intensity weakens over time - a short exposure to UV light or sunlight (approx. 2 hours) will restore it.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to UV light, it accelerates the aging of PLA.
- Recommended print surfaces: Cool Plate SuperTack, Smooth PEI Plate, Textured PEI Plate.
- For quality results, use a 0.4 mm or larger nozzle, 0.2 mm nozzles are unsuitable.
- After printing, store in a sealed package with desiccant (humidity below 20 % RH).
