Spectrum S-Flex 98A is a filament based on thermoplastic polyether polyurethane. In the field of additive manufacturing, S-Flex 98A is a material characterized by relatively easy and trouble-free 3D printing. Another advantage that allows achieving a perfect print is the very good adhesion of the first layer of the printed part to the print bed, regardless of whether you print on glass, steel plate, plastic sheets, or others.
Low shrinkage during processing and high elasticity significantly reduce the risk of so-called edge warping of manufactured parts. The distinguishing mark in the name of the filament 98A - relates to the hardness of the material on the Shore scale and places Spectrum S-Flex 98A in the category of hard elastomers. This allows for slightly faster printing compared to others.
Parts made from Spectrum S-Flex 98A material are characterized by very high resistance to hydrolysis (a type of degradation caused by the presence of water), good recyclability, and very good resistance to dynamic forces. Thanks to these properties, it is possible to print parts that protect against impacts (bumpers, sharp edge protectors), sealing and protective elements with high chemical resistance, as well as thermal insulators.
