Product variants
Spectrum r-PLA 1.75 mm 2 kg is an eco-friendly 3D printing filament made from recycled PLA extrusion waste. It retains the advantages of classic PLA - easy printing, minimal shrinkage and good tensile strength - while having a significantly lower environmental impact.
Key features
Spectrum r-PLA is produced by collecting, grinding, remixing and homogenising residual PLA waste into a high-quality and easy-to-print filament. The 1.75 mm filament diameter with a tolerance matching the Spectrum standard and a 2 kg spool allow long uninterrupted printing of larger models. The filament is wound on an eco-friendly cardboard spool, which further reduces the ecological footprint.
R-PLA has a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of around 55 °C, no noticeable shrinkage after cooling and stable extrusion on common FDM/FFF printers. The material is compatible with all standard desktop 3D printers and behaves practically identically to classic PLA during printing.

Who is Spectrum r-PLA 1.75mm 2kg filament suitable for
Recycled r-PLA is intended for users who want to print sustainably without compromising on ease of printing. It is suitable for educational projects, prototyping, visualisation of finished products and semi-finished goods, industrial and interior design and concept models. Thanks to its low shrinkage, it is also suitable for larger parts, and thanks to the large 2 kg spool, for serial printing.
The material is not recommended for applications exposed to temperatures above ~50 °C or for mechanically highly loaded functional parts - for these, PETG, ASA or ABS are more suitable.
Tips for use
- Before printing, check the calibration of the first layer - r-PLA adheres excellently to PEI as well as glass with glue.
- Store the filament in a dry place; if exposed to moisture for a longer time, we recommend drying at 45 °C for 4 - 6 hours.
- At speeds above 80 mm/s, increase the nozzle temperature towards 220 °C to ensure sufficient extrusion.
- Due to the recycled origin, small variations may occur between batches - we recommend flow calibration (extrusion multiplier) for each new spool.
- Use full part cooling for clean details and overhangs.
- The cardboard spool can be easily recycled with paper after printing.
- For maximum sustainability, reprint failed prints - PLA can be recycled.
