Matte print surface

Spectrum PLA MATT is a material based on PLA, whose chemical composition has been modified to allow obtaining matte print surfaces. The matte appearance of the produced elements significantly enhances their aesthetics and additionally minimizes the visibility of layers on the side surfaces of the produced elements.
The additional use of additives has resulted in increased thermal resistance, impact resistance, and reduced brittleness of the produced elements. The modification of the Spectrum PLA MATT material also included UV stabilization, which means that the material is suitable for occasional exposure to atmospheric conditions such as sunlight (UV) and moisture (hydrolysis). As a result, printed components degrade much more slowly compared to regular PETG and PLA.

• higher thermal resistance (VICAT - 85°C) compared to standard PLA (VICAT - 55°C)

• increased adhesion between layers and between the working platform of the device and the produced components

The above properties determine the use of Spectrum PLA MATT in applications related to the presentation of significant aesthetic properties, i.e., in prototyping in industrial design for concept visualization and presentation of design variants of respective constructions.
