Product variants
Spectrum PLA Glow is a special phosphorescent PLA-based filament that emits its own light after being illuminated by an external light source. It combines the easy printability of classic PLA with a striking glow effect that will be appreciated by creators of decorations, souvenirs, and functional night-marking elements.
Key features
The material retains all the typical properties of pure PLA - the added phosphorescent pigment has a neutral impact on mechanical and printing properties. The filament offers strong afterglow, high aesthetic surface quality, warp-free printing, and perfect layer adhesion.
The intensity of the glow can be regulated by wall thickness and infill density - the thicker the wall and the higher the infill, the more pronounced the effect. The filament is wound on a transparent spool and delivered vacuum-packed with a moisture absorber in the original Spectrum Filaments packaging.

Who is Spectrum filament PLA Glow 1.75mm suitable for
The filament is designed for creators who want to give their models a glow-in-the-dark effect. It is ideal for making decorative and artistic objects with an interesting visual effect, marking emergency exits and orientation elements in case of power outages, advertising and decorative applications, souvenirs, glowing pictures, gaming figurines, and accessories. Thanks to its PLA base, even a beginner can print it on a common FDM printer without an enclosed chamber.
Tips for use
- For maximum afterglow, expose the finished model to a strong light source for an extended period (daylight, UV lamp).
- The phosphorescent pigment is abrasive - use hardened steel or stainless steel nozzles, as brass nozzles wear out quickly.
- You can increase the glow strength by using a greater wall thickness (at least 3 perimeters) and higher infill density.
- We recommend drying the filament before printing, especially after long-term storage.
- Store in a dry place, in a sealed package with a moisture absorber.
- Set cooling to maximum for clean details and sharp edges.
- Print the first layer more slowly (20-25 mm/s) for better bed adhesion.
