Filament Spectrum PCTG CF10
Excellent specialist enriched with carbon fibers
PCTG is a copolyester with growing popularity among 3D printing technology users. In terms of properties, it is often combined with the well-known to every printer (in the sense of manufacturer, creator, person using a 3D printer) PETG. However, it is worth mentioning that compared to its older brother, PCTG is characterized by much greater impact toughness. The high elasticity of PCTG combined with high layer adhesion, high viscosity, and negligible shrinkage makes it an ideal polymer for composing composite materials.
As the first of the composites based on PCTG, we developed a version with carbon fibers – PCTG CF10. The used carbon fibers give the filament extremely high stiffness while reducing the brittle cracking characteristic of other carbon composites based on PETG. The PCTG CF10 filament allows printing elements with increased hardness and tensile strength compared to classic PCTG. The use of carbon fibers increases the thermal resistance of the filament, additionally reduces shrinkage, and gives the printed models a characteristic "carbon" matte appearance.
With the Spectrum PCTG CF filament, 3D printing becomes an even more realistic alternative to classic plastic processing for obtaining durable and permanent everyday items, regardless of size.
