Spectrum filament Nylon PA6 Low Warp is a structural filament based on polycaprolactam (polyamide 6) enriched with additives that significantly reduce shrinkage and deformation of printed parts. It combines high mechanical strength, chemical resistance and self-lubricating properties - making it a suitable material for functional technical parts.

Key features

PA6 Low Warp is one of the advanced nylon filaments with a modified composition that reduces processing shrinkage to around 0.3%. This minimizes the warping effect at the corners of models, which is otherwise a common issue with polyamides. The material features high impact toughness, abrasion resistance and very good interlayer bonding, which reduces the risk of delamination.

It offers chemical resistance to fuels, oils and lubricants, good electrical insulation properties and physiological inertness. The additives also make the material self-lubricating, so it is suitable for parts exposed to friction.

Who is Spectrum filament Nylon PA6 Low Warp suitable for

The filament is intended for more experienced 3D printer users who manufacture functional technical components with high demands on mechanical durability and chemical stability. Typical applications include plain bearings, scrapers, guide rollers operating at elevated temperatures, sealing rings and plates with increased chemical and corrosion resistance, tools, end-use parts and functional prototyping. It is used in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and in the production of spare parts.

Tips for use

  • Always dry the filament before printing - polyamides are strongly hygroscopic and moisture significantly degrades print quality.
  • Use a printer with an enclosed chamber for stable temperature and to minimize warping.
  • A hardened nozzle is recommended - PA6 can be slightly abrasive.
  • For better bed adhesion use a glue stick, PVA glue or special nylon adhesion products.
  • Reduce or completely turn off model cooling for maximum interlayer bonding.
  • Store in a dry environment with a moisture absorber, ideally in a vacuum bag or dry box.
  • When printing large parts, consider using a brim or raft for better first-layer stability.
