Product variants
Spectrum ASA-X GF10 is a highly durable composite filament based on ASA polymer reinforced with 10% glass fibers. It combines mechanical strength, dimensional stability at elevated temperatures and excellent resistance to UV radiation and weathering. An ideal material for functional parts designed for outdoor environments.
Key features
The addition of 10% glass fibers significantly increases the mechanical strength, stiffness and dimensional stability of printed parts compared to standard ASA filament. The material retains excellent resistance to UV radiation and moisture, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use. A major advantage is low shrinkage and the possibility of printing even on desktop printers without an enclosed heated chamber. The surface of the prints is matte, aesthetically pleasing and the layers are perfectly bonded.

Who is Spectrum ASA - X GF10 1.75mm 0.5kg filament suitable for
The material is intended for more advanced users who print technical and functional parts with high demands on mechanical and thermal resistance. Thanks to its resistance to UV radiation and weathering, it is suitable for outdoor holders, covers, brackets, automotive accessory parts, garden equipment components, drones, electronics or industrial prototypes. Glass fibers increase stiffness, allowing the material to perform even where standard ABS or standard ASA would be insufficient. It is also used in mechanical components exposed to repeated mechanical stress.
Tips for use
- Use a hardened or steel nozzle - glass fibers will quickly wear out a common brass nozzle.
- Dry the filament before printing at 70 °C for 6 - 8 hours, ASA is hygroscopic.
- Ideally print in an enclosed chamber; when printing without a chamber, limit drafts and cooling.
- For the first layer, use adhesion spray or glue, or a thin layer of ABS juice.
- Set a higher bed temperature (100 °C) to minimize corner detachment.
- Reduce print speed for detailed models and thin walls for better layer bonding.
- Consider a slight linear advance / pressure advance due to the presence of fibers in the melt.
- Store in a dry place (e.g. in a box with silica gel) to maintain print properties.
