Spectrum ABS GP450 is an industrial ABS filament with a 1.75 mm diameter on a 1 kg spool, optimized for additive manufacturing and high-speed 3D printing up to 200 mm/s without loss of mechanical properties.
Key features
This material has an amorphous structure and is characterized by high impact toughness, hardness and scratch resistance. Compared to standard ABS, it has a modified composition for 3D printing - improved first layer adhesion, significantly reduced warping and limited curling of the model at the edges. It exhibits robust layer lamination and easy break-off of support structures. The Vicat softening temperature reaches 95 °C, and the burning behavior according to UL 94 (1.6 mm) corresponds to the HB classification. The material also has very good electrical insulation properties.

It is used in the production of functional prototypes, end-use parts, components for industrial design, custom parts, tooling, jigs and fixtures for assembly and serial production, as well as static and dynamic load-bearing parts. Thanks to its electrical insulation properties, it is also suitable for parts protecting against electrical current.
Usage tips
- Print in an enclosed chamber - this minimizes warping and layer delamination.
- Dry the filament before printing at 70 - 80 °C for 6 - 8 hours.
- Use a quality bed adhesive (glue, ABS juice, PEI).
- Limit active part cooling - it impairs layer adhesion with ABS.
- Ensure good ventilation of the workspace, as ABS produces fumes during printing.
- For high-speed printing (150 - 200 mm/s), use a 0.4 mm nozzle or larger with sufficient flow.
- Store in a dry place, ideally in a vacuum bag with a moisture absorber.
