The Snapmaker Textured PEI Steel Plate is an original double-sided build plate for the Snapmaker U1 3D printer. The flexible steel sheet with double-sided PEI coating and fine textured surface provides reliable print adhesion along with a beautiful matte structure on the underside of the model. After cooling, models pop off on their own, and thanks to magnetic mounting you can remove the plate from the printer in just a few seconds.

Double-sided textured PEI surface

The plate is coated with high-quality PEI (polyetherimide) on both sides, so once worn you can simply flip it and get a practically brand-new print surface. The textured finish transfers a fine matte pattern onto the bottom of the print, which is perfect for functional parts as well as design models where you want to hide the gloss of the first layer.

Reliable adhesion without glues

PEI is today's standard for a wide range of materials. The Textured variant holds PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, as well as nylon and composite filaments excellently. In most cases you don't need any glue or spray - just a clean surface and the correct bed temperature.

Flexible steel plate for easy print removal

The core is made of spring steel, which can be gently flexed after cooling, and the finished print pops off by itself. No prying with a spatula, no risk of damaging the model or the plate. Especially with larger surfaces or thin parts, this saves time and nerves.

Magnetic attachment to the heated bed

The plate attaches to the heated bed of the Snapmaker U1 via a magnetic base. Mounting and removal is a matter of seconds and the plate always sits precisely in its place, so you don't have to recalibrate the first layer.

Fast heat transfer

The thin steel carrier with PEI layer has low thermal inertia. The U1 heated bed therefore quickly reaches the set temperature and holds it evenly across the entire surface, which is essential for warp-prone materials like ABS or polycarbonate.

Durability and long service life

PEI handles thousands of print cycles at high temperatures without degradation. To maintain top adhesion, just degrease the surface occasionally with isopropyl alcohol and avoid mechanical damage from the nozzle - for this we recommend regularly checking the Z-offset and the condition of the nozzles.
