Rosa3D Filament PLA Rainbow Silk is a premium PLA material with a silky glossy surface and smooth transitions between seven shades that alternate regularly throughout the print. The ReFill version is an economical package without a plastic spool, designed for mounting on the ROSA3D Masterpool system spool.

Key features

The filament is enriched with silk additives that give prints a characteristic gloss and silky appearance. It contains 7 pigments that alternate in regular cycles - one full color cycle corresponds to 240 g of material, so more than 4 complete cycles occur on a single spool (1 kg).

The material prints easily, has low shrinkage, minimal odor, excellent interlayer adhesion, and accurately reproduces details. Neither an enclosed chamber nor reduced print speed is required. The ReFill version does not include its own plastic spool - the filament is intended for mounting on the ROSA3D Masterpool, which must be purchased separately.

Thanks to the easy printability of PLA, the material is suitable for beginners, while experienced users will appreciate its properties as well. It is not intended for functional parts exposed to higher temperatures or mechanical stress - for such applications, we recommend PETG, ASA, or ABS.

Usage tips

• Before printing, mount the ReFill onto the ROSA3D Masterpool spool - the filament cannot be used without it.
• Color cycles on individual spools may start at different points; slight shade differences between batches are natural.
• For smooth color transitions, use so-called vase mode or models with gradual layer buildup.
• The silk effect stands out at higher nozzle temperatures and thinner layers (0.12-0.16 mm).
• Set the perimeter to 3-4 walls to ensure even surface gloss without translucency.
• Keep active cooling at 80-100 % for clean details and bridging.
• Store the filament in a dry place - before printing, it can be dried at 50 °C for 4 hours.
• For smooth transitions without banding, use a constant print speed and the same layer height.
