Product variants
Prusament PETG 1.75mm 1kg NFC is a premium technical filament manufactured directly by Prusa Polymers with a guaranteed production tolerance of ±0.02 mm and a fully rewritable OpenPrintTag NFC chip for smart spool recognition.
Key features
PETG is one of the easiest technical materials to print in 3D. It combines the easy printability of PLA with higher mechanical and thermal resistance, approaching the properties of ABS. The material features low shrinkage, good layer adhesion and higher impact toughness - on impact it tends to bend rather than break.
Prusament is manufactured in the EU (Czech Republic) and in the USA (Delaware); every spool undergoes final quality control and is supplied with actually measured data (diameter, ovality, weight) along the entire length of the filament. The OpenPrintTag NFC chip enables automatic material recognition in compatible Prusa printers and works with the Prusa mobile app - fully offline.

Who is Prusament PETG 1.75mm 1kg NFC suitable for
The material is suitable both for beginners transitioning from PLA to their first technical material and for advanced users and professionals who need a reliable filament for functional parts. Thanks to its low shrinkage, it is ideal for printing large objects and multi-part models. It is used in the production of mechanical components, brackets, electronics enclosures, prototypes, machine parts and tools with higher requirements for thermal resistance and toughness.
Usage tips
- Before the first print, check the cleanliness of the print sheet, ideally degrease it with isopropyl alcohol.
- For printing on a smooth PEI sheet, use a separator (glue stick) - otherwise the print may become permanently stuck.
- If the material strings, dry the spool for 6-8 hours at 65 °C.
- Reduce the part cooling fan to 30-50 % to improve layer adhesion.
- Recommended retraction 1-2 mm (Direct Drive) or 3-5 mm (Bowden).
- PETG has a limited ability to print bridges - prefer supports.
- Store in a dry environment, ideally in a vacuum bag with a moisture absorber.
- For gluing large multi-part models, use superglue.
