Product variants
Prusa Nozzle ObXidian 0.6 mm is a premium nozzle for the Nextruder, made of hardened steel with an anti-corrosion coating. It combines extreme hardness, thermal resistance and long service life - ideal for printing abrasive filaments such as composites with carbon or glass fibers.
Specially designed for the Nextruder

The ObXidian nozzle is developed directly for the Nextruder hotend, which you will find in the Original Prusa MK4/S, MK3.9/S, XL, XL+, CORE One, CORE One+ (Gen 2) and CORE One L+ printers. The geometry matches the original Prusa Research design, so after replacement all you need to do is perform a first layer calibration and you are ready to print.
Hardened steel with an anti-corrosion coating
The nozzle is based on hardened steel with a special anti-corrosion coating applied to it. This not only protects the surface against oxidation, but above all dramatically increases the wear resistance of the internal channel. Thanks to this, the nozzle maintains its precise diameter even after tens of kilograms of extruded filament.
Resistance to abrasive materials
If you print with composite filaments with carbon fibers, filled nylon or materials with glass fibers, a common brass nozzle wears out within a few kilograms. Thanks to its hardness, ObXidian handles even extremely abrasive blends without issues and maintains a stable orifice geometry.
0.6 mm diameter - a versatile compromise
The 0.6 mm diameter is the ideal choice for faster printing of functional parts, larger models and stronger prints. Compared to the standard 0.4 mm nozzle, it offers significantly higher material flow, thicker walls and better interlayer adhesion - all of which is especially useful for PETG, ASA and technical materials.
Stable performance even at high temperatures
The hardened steel base ensures that the nozzle does not lose its hardness even at high printing temperatures. You can safely print polycarbonate, PA-CF, PC-CF or other technical materials that require temperatures above 280 °C.
Long service life - cost savings
The investment in ObXidian pays off primarily during long-term operation. Where you would replace a brass nozzle every few kilograms of abrasive material, ObXidian lasts for tens of kilograms without any noticeable loss of precision - fewer print interruptions, fewer calibrations, fewer failed prints.
Compatibility with Original Prusa printers
The nozzle is designed for the Nextruder and is compatible with the following models: MK4, MK4S, MK3.9, MK3.9S, XL, XL+, CORE One, CORE One+, CORE One+ (Gen 2) and CORE One L+. It is not compatible with older V6-type hotends (MK3S+, MINI and older).
Easy installation
Replacing the nozzle in the Nextruder is a matter of a few minutes - follow the official guide at help.prusa3d.com. After replacement, perform a first layer calibration and the printer is ready for further operation. We recommend always keeping at least one spare nozzle in the drawer.
