Polymaker PolySonic™ PLA is a high-speed PLA filament designed for modern 3D printers with print speeds up to 300 mm/s. Thanks to its optimized formulation, it offers stable extrusion and high surface quality even at extreme speeds, making it a suitable material for printers such as Bambu Lab, Prusa XL, Creality K1 or other CoreXY systems.

Key features

PolySonic™ PLA combines the easy printability of classic PLA with fast-melting technology, which ensures trouble-free extrusion even at high flow rates. The material features low thermal expansion, minimal shrinkage and high dimensional accuracy with a diameter tolerance of ±0.03 mm. The print surface is smooth, with very good layer adhesion and a matte-glossy appearance. The filament is wound without tangling and is compatible with most FDM/FFF printers for a 1.75 mm diameter.

This filament is intended primarily for users of fast 3D printers who want to fully leverage the potential of their machine without compromising print quality. It is well suited for printing prototypes, functional models, decorative items, figurines, mechanical parts, spare components as well as larger parts where a short print time is required. Thanks to the easy printability of PLA, it is also suitable for beginners, but the greatest benefit will be appreciated by advanced users with CoreXY printers. The material is biodegradable and made from renewable resources.

Tips for use

• For maximum speeds, use a hardened nozzle with a diameter of 0.4 mm or larger and a high-flow hotend (e.g. CHT, Volcano).
• Store the filament in a dry environment with humidity below 20%, ideally in a sealed box with silica gel.
• After longer storage, we recommend drying at 55 °C for 4-6 hours before printing.
• Enable 100% part cooling from the second layer onward for clean details and accurate overhangs.
• For high-speed printing, increase the nozzle temperature closer to the upper limit of the recommended range (230-240 °C).
• Use calibrated Pressure Advance / Linear Advance for sharp corners at high speeds.
• The bed can be printed on without heating, but for better adhesion we recommend 45-60 °C and a clean PEI surface.
• Compatible with PLA glues and common adhesive products for the print bed.
