Polymaker PolyLite™ PC is a premium polycarbonate filament designed for printing technically demanding parts with high strength and excellent heat resistance. It combines superb processability with the mechanical properties typical of polycarbonates, making it suitable for functional prototypes as well as end-use parts.
Key features
Polycarbonate (PC) is a technical material with above-average stiffness, impact toughness and thermal stability. PolyLite™ PC offers a Vicat softening temperature of 119.5 °C and HDT of 106.6 °C, which allows it to retain dimensional stability even under elevated thermal loads. A flexural strength of 100.4 MPa and a modulus of elasticity of 2247 MPa place the material among the engineering plastics suitable for load-bearing components. The material has a density of 1.19 g/cm³ and is supplied in a diameter of 2.85 mm with a weight of 1 kg (length approx. 132 m).

Who is Polymaker PolyLite™ PC, 1 kg suitable for
This material is intended for advanced users and professionals who need to print thermally and mechanically resistant parts. It is used in the production of functional prototypes, structural components, electronics enclosures, brackets, parts for automotive and industrial environments, jigs and tools. Thanks to its high heat resistance, it is also suitable for components exposed to the vicinity of heat sources. If you need resistance to UV radiation and weather conditions, also consider ASA; for easier printing, PETG is a suitable alternative.
Printing tips
- Always dry the material before printing - PC is highly hygroscopic and moisture significantly degrades both quality and mechanical properties.
- Use a printer with an enclosed chamber to minimize warping and layer delamination.
- Recommended nozzle: hardened steel or brass, diameter 0.4 mm or larger.
- Apply a suitable glue or PC-specific adhesive to the bed for perfect adhesion.
- Limit active cooling - it helps with better interlayer adhesion and part strength.
- Choose lower printing speeds to achieve a quality surface and stable dimensions.
- Store the filament in a dry place, ideally in a vacuum box with silica gel.
