The Polymaker Polydryer is a compact filament dryer that removes moisture from spools before and during printing. Moisture is the main cause of reduced print quality - bubbles, cracking, weaker interlayer adhesion, and inconsistent extrusion. The Polydryer solves these problems with active drying and a controlled storage environment.
Key features
The Polymaker Polydryer uses regulated heating in a sealed chamber with ventilation for effective moisture removal from hygroscopic materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU, Nylon, or Polycarbonate. The device can be used as a standalone drying station or as an active dry box directly during printing - the filament is fed through the output opening straight into the extruder, ensuring dry material throughout the entire print job.

It helps achieve stable surface quality, more accurate dimensions, and better interlayer bonding.
Drying and usage tips
- Always dry the filament before the first print from an opened package - even a new spool may be damp.
- Choose the drying temperature according to the material type, do not exceed the recommended values (risk of spool sticking).
- For long-term storage, leave the spool in the dryer or store it in a vacuum bag with silica gel.
- When printing with technical materials (Nylon, PC), use the dryer as an active dry box - feed the filament directly from the chamber into the extruder.
- Regularly check the condition of the silica gel if you use it as a supplement.
- Dried filament that reabsorbs moisture can be dried again - the process can be repeated multiple times.
- For flexible materials, choose lower temperatures and longer drying times.
