Polymaker Fiberon™ PETG - ESD (formerly PolyMax™ PETG - ESD) is a technical PETG-based filament with antistatic properties (ESD-safe), designed for printing parts that come into contact with sensitive electronics. It is used for manufacturing jigs, holders, enclosures, transport trays and assembly aids where the build-up of electrostatic charge must be prevented.

Key features

The material combines the ease of printing typical for PETG with permanently low surface resistivity in the range of 10⁶ to 10⁹ Ω, which allows it to safely dissipate static charge. It retains the mechanical strength, toughness and dimensional stability of PETG and offers very good layer adhesion. It is not as hygroscopic as nylon, but dry storage is still recommended. The filament is manufactured with a tight diameter tolerance of ±0.03 mm, ensuring stable extrusion and a clean print surface.

  • ESD-safe: surface resistivity 10⁶ - 10⁹ Ω
  • Base: modified PETG with conductive additives
  • Diameter tolerance: ±0.03 mm
  • Spool weight: 1 kg net
  • Diameter: 1.75 mm
  • Processing: easy printing without an enclosed chamber

Who is Polymaker Fiberon™ PETG - ESD (formerly PolyMax™ PETG - ESD), 1.75 mm, 1 kg suitable for

The material is primarily intended for industrial applications in electrical engineering and electronics manufacturing. It is used for printing PCB assembly jigs, covers, holders and handling aids for sensitive electronic components, ESD-safe transport pallets, boxes and organisers. Thanks to the large 3 kg spool, it is suitable for serial and long-term printing without the need for frequent material changes. For standard mechanical parts without ESD requirements, you can use regular PETG or ABS.

Usage tips

  • Dry the material before printing - conductive additives may slightly increase moisture absorption.
  • Use a hardened steel nozzle - the additives are mildly abrasive.
  • Print the first layer more slowly (15 - 25 mm/s) for better adhesion.
  • On a PEI bed, we recommend a release agent (glue, spray) - PETG tends to bond strongly to PEI.
  • Optimal ESD properties develop after full layer curing; for thin-walled parts, ensure good layer bonding.
  • Store unused spools in a sealed box with silica gel or in a filament dryer.
  • For critical applications, verify the resistivity of the finished part by measurement - it is affected by geometry and infill density.
