Printing Tips
- Before first use, we recommend checking the filament and, in case of prolonged storage, drying it at 50 °C for 6-8 hours.
- For maximum enhancement of the silky gloss, print at a higher nozzle temperature (220-230 °C) and lower speed (40-60 mm/s).
- Use 100% fan cooling - it improves details and preserves the glossy surface.
- Bridges and overhangs print very well thanks to the rapid solidification, so there is no need to worry about surface degradation.
- After printing, store the filament in its original bag with silica gel or in a dryer to maintain optimal properties.
- To achieve a clean surface, we recommend a 0.4 mm or 0.6 mm nozzle and quality first-layer leveling.
- When switching to another material, perform a thorough purge - silk PLA contains a higher amount of modifiers that can affect subsequent prints.
