Silica gel desiccant bag Signus OB-10
Desiccant bags and capsules filled with silica gel absorb moisture. This prevents mold, corrosion, or other negative processes caused by moisture.
We use it for stored materials that are sensitive to moisture and can change their properties or parameters due to moisture. It can be regenerated and reused without significant loss of parameters. Regeneration in an electric oven at a temperature of 130-160 °C. As long as water vapor rises from the bag, it is not completely dried. The drying time in a microwave oven is approximately 100g - 1 minute at a power of 650 W (always switch to the lowest power). For regeneration of weights lower than 100 g (individual small bags), always use only the "defrost" power. The regeneration time of small bags 1-100g is very dependent on the weight of the bag (similar to food) and therefore it is necessary to test it. Different brands and models of microwave ovens also affect the regeneration time. As soon as steam stops rising from the bag, the oven must be turned off immediately.
The most common uses: electronic devices, pharmaceutical products, food packaging, medical devices, industrial packaging, flower drying, textile products. And wherever it is necessary to keep the packaging dry, at low relative humidity. By using excess silica gel in a closed container, it is possible to achieve a relative humidity of less than 10% in the container space.
