The MK52 24V magnetic heatbed is an original Prusa Research replacement part designed for Original Prusa MK3, MK3S and MK3S+ printers. It combines 24V heating element (6.25 A) with an integrated magnetic layer for holding flexible print sheets, and ships as a complete assembly including thermistor, wiring and mounting hardware.

Magnetic layer for flexible print sheets

The heatbed contains 28 pressed-in 45SH grade neodymium magnets, secured with Loctite HY 4090 adhesive. The magnets hold flexible steel sheets (PEI smooth, satin, textured) firmly in place even at high temperatures up to 110 °C. After printing, simply flex the sheet and the print releases on its own - no prying with a spatula, no surface damage.

Even heating with 24V heating element

The 24V power supply means faster temperature ramp-up and more stable regulation than older 12V variants. At 6.25 A, the heatbed reaches 60 °C within tens of seconds and handles even demanding materials such as ABS, ASA, nylon or polycarbonate. The maximum operating temperature is 120 °C, with a recommended working limit of 110 °C.

Integrated thermistor and complete wiring

The heatbed comes with the thermistor already secured - fixed with aluminum and Kapton tape, ensuring accurate measurement of the actual heatbed temperature. The package also includes a pre-assembled screw-on power cable for connection to the Einsy RAMBo board, textile sleeving to protect the wiring harness, and a cable entry cover with clip.

Precise dimensions for large prints

The 254 × 264.4 mm usable area corresponds to the standard print volume of the MK3 series. The thickness of just 3.175 mm keeps thermal inertia low and allows faster temperature changes between layers. Milled edges and precise mounting hole spacing ensure that the heatbed sits stress-free on the printer's Y-carriage.

Compatibility with PEI flexible sheets

The MK52 is designed for Prusa steel flexible sheets. For PLA and PETG we recommend the smooth PEI sheet, for ABS or flexible materials the textured PEI sheet, and for carbon-filled composites the satin powder-coated sheet. The magnetic field is dimensioned so that the sheet stays in place even during sharp print head direction changes.

Easy installation with complete mounting kit

Replacing the heatbed with this assembly takes approximately 60 minutes. The package contains all the required hardware - 5 M3x10 screws, M3n and M3nN nuts, M3/3.2/9/0.8 washers and the cable outlet cover.
