Heat shrink tubing with a diameter of 1.0/0.6 mm and a length of 10 cm is an essential helper for insulating soldered joints, repairing wiring of heating elements, thermistors and thin conductors in 3D printers. After heating with a heat gun or lighter, it shrinks to half its original diameter and creates a firm, mechanically resistant insulation with heat resistance up to 125 °C.

The tubing is primarily intended for insulating thin conductors in 3D printer electronics, such as wiring of thermistors, heater cartridges, hotends or endstops. The small diameter of 1.0 mm in the initial state shrinks to 0.6 mm after heating and precisely wraps even very thin joints without unnecessary slack.

Shrink ratio 2:1

The initial inner diameter of 1.0 mm shrinks to 0.6 mm after heating, which corresponds to the standard 2:1 shrink ratio. Thanks to this, the tubing safely wraps both the conductor itself and a slightly thicker soldered joint or connector terminal.

Wide temperature range -40 to 125 °C

The tubing material retains its mechanical properties and does not deform in the range of -40 °C to 125 °C. It can therefore withstand operating temperatures around the hotend and heated bed, and can also be used in applications located outdoors or in machine rooms.

Quality insulation properties

The K-102 type tubing ensures reliable electrical insulation of soldered joints and protects them against oxidation, moisture and mechanical wear. It adheres firmly to the surface of the conductor and does not create cavities where moisture could condense.

Easy application

Simply slide the tubing onto the conductor before soldering, then after completing the joint move it to the desired location and heat it evenly with a heat gun (ideally to 80-120 °C). In an emergency, a regular lighter will also do, but be careful not to burn the tubing with the flame.

The classic black color ensures a clean and professional appearance of the repaired joints. The tubing is opaque, so it reliably covers the soldered joint or damaged conductor insulation.
