What the Flow Blocker is for

The Flow Blocker is a small mechanical element placed under the nozzle of the print head. Its job is to physically seal the nozzle orifice during idle states (nozzle parking, material change, waiting in dual-nozzle mode) and prevent gravity-driven leakage of molten plastic. It eliminates stringing, drops on the model and contamination of the silicone socks.

Construction for high temperatures

The component combines three materials: a metal load-bearing part for thermal resistance and strength, a plastic body, and a silicone seal that withstands direct contact with the hot nozzle. Thanks to this it can handle technical materials such as ABS, ASA, nylon or polycarbonate.

Optimized for the dual-nozzle system

The H2D and H2C printers use a pair of nozzles, and one of them is always idle. That is exactly when the Flow Blocker prevents dripping from the inactive nozzle and protects the printed part from contamination by another material or color. When printing from multiple filaments, e.g. PLA and PETG, the cleanliness of the result is significantly improved.

Easy installation
