The material is suitable for hobby users as well as for prototyping and small-series production of functional parts, where abrasion resistance and impact absorption are required.
Usage tips
- Use a direct drive extruder for the best results; with a Bowden setup, reduce speed and retraction.
- Dry the filament before printing - TPU is hygroscopic and moisture causes bubbles and poor layer adhesion.
- Print slowly and at a constant speed; sudden changes can lead to feeding problems.
- Reduce or completely disable retraction to prevent the material from jamming in the extruder.
- For better first-layer adhesion, use a glue stick or a PEI build plate.
- Store in a dry environment in a sealed package with a moisture absorber.
- Use a nozzle with a diameter of at least 0.4 mm, ideally 0.6 mm, for smoother extrusion.
