Spectrum PET-G Premium 1.75 mm is a premium PETG filament that combines the advantages of PLA and ABS - easy printability with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance. It features virtually zero shrinkage, low moisture absorption and exceptional interlayer adhesion.

Key features

Spectrum PET-G Premium is a material designed for demanding functional prints as well as aesthetic models. The pellets and pigments used in production are approved for food contact. The material offers high dimensional accuracy, good stiffness, hardness and impact resistance. Thanks to its low mechanical anisotropy, the print has similar properties in all directions, which is an advantage over common thermoplastics for FDM/FFF printing. Printing is odorless.

  • HDT temperature resistance - 69 °C
  • Vicat softening temperature - 78 °C
  • High chemical resistance
  • Virtually zero shrinkage
  • Low moisture absorption
  • Excellent interlayer adhesion
  • Resistance to creep under constant load
  • Filament diameter 1.75 mm with high dimensional tolerance

Who is Spectrum PET-G Premium 1.75 mm filament suitable for

This material is suitable for users who need a combination of easy printing and mechanical resistance. It is ideal for both visual and functional prototyping, fit testing, production of conceptual models and manufacturing aids. Thanks to its chemical resistance and dimensional stability, it is suitable for gears, sliding bearings exposed to static loads even in aquatic environments, semi-transparent enclosures, backlit sections of signs and displays. The mechanical properties remain stable throughout the long service life of the print. If you are looking for an alternative with higher temperature resistance, check out ASA or polycarbonate.

Usage tips

  • Always dry the material properly before printing - although PETG is less susceptible to moisture than nylon, absorbed moisture causes cracking and bubbles in the print.
  • Print on a clean bed degreased with isopropyl alcohol - PETG has high adhesion, so avoid glue on glass as it may damage the build plate.
  • When printing over supports, lower the nozzle temperature and increase the gap between the support and the model - PETG adheres strongly.
  • Optimize retraction - PETG is more prone to stringing; lower retraction speed and a temperature closer to the lower limit are ideal.
  • For strong functional parts, choose 3 - 4 perimeters and 30 - 50 % infill.
  • Store the filament in a dry place, ideally in a sealed container with silica gel.
  • Print the first layer slowly (20 - 25 mm/s) for better bed adhesion.
