Product variants
Spectrum PA6 Low Warp GF30 filament is a high-performance engineering material based on polycaprolactam (PA6 nylon) reinforced with 30% glass fibres. The combination of the nylon matrix and glass fibres provides exceptional stiffness, dimensional stability and resistance to mechanical wear.
Key features
The material is specially formulated to minimise warping, which is typical for pure nylons. Processing shrinkage is kept at a very low level of around 0.3%, allowing larger parts to be printed with minimal risk of corner deformation. The addition of glass fibres (GF30) significantly increases tensile strength, modulus of elasticity and heat resistance compared to standard PA6 nylon.
The material is self-lubricating, has good electrical insulation properties and is physiologically inert. Its main advantages include resistance to fuels, oils and lubricants, high impact toughness, excellent interlayer adhesion reducing the risk of delamination, and stability at elevated operating temperatures. It requires dry storage (humidity below 15%) and drying before printing is recommended.

The filament is intended for advanced users and professionals who need a technical material with high strength and low tendency to warp. Typical applications include sliding bearings, scrapers and guide rollers operating at elevated temperatures, sealing rings and plates with enhanced chemical resistance, functional prototypes, end-use parts, jigs, tooling and machine components exposed to friction and mechanical loads. Thanks to the glass fibre reinforcement, it is also suitable for parts where high stiffness and dimensional stability are required.
Tips for use
- Always thoroughly dry the filament before printing - nylon is highly hygroscopic.
- Use a hardened or steel nozzle; a standard brass one will wear out quickly due to the abrasive glass fibres.
- Print in an enclosed chamber for stable ambient temperature and better interlayer adhesion.
- Minimise fan cooling, which could cause layer delamination.
- For good bed adhesion, use glue, PA slurry or a special nylon foil or PEI sheet.
- Return the filament to an airtight bag with silica gel immediately after printing.
- Optimise retractions - for reinforced materials, lower values are usually more stable.
